Modern Leagues Metagame

Theese are the most successfull decks in MTGO Leagues last week (6th July - 13 July). The number on the side refers to the trophies earned by the decks. As expected, Boros Energy is the most present through the whole week. Statistically at least 5 boros per day achieve a Trohpy in a league. Midranges (Orzhov/Esper), Eldrazi and Broodscale got very nice results too. I just reported decks with at least 15 trophies, other decks had decent presence: Living End, Goryo's and Prowess.

League Grinding Choice

While grinding leagues, Boros energy seems to be the obvious choice here, the only issue is the skill ceiling of the deck being really high. Eldrazi and Broodscale are viable alternatives. It really depends on your confidence with the deck.

Modern Challenges Metagame

Theese are the decks with the highest top8 presence in the metagame challenges. Once again, Boros and Midranges seem to be the top performing decks.

Challenge Grinding Choice

This week Boros got way better results than the rest of the field. Both Amulet and Midrange seem to be very well placed in the meta at the moment.

Metagame thoughts

This week the metagame seems to be quite balanced. The presence of Amulet in the challenges is always a nice news.

My deck of choice for this week is Boros Energy, if you feel confident, the second best choice would be Eldrazi or Broodscale. Given the current state of Standard and Pauper, i still think that Modern is the most "grindable" format right now.
